We’re proud to announce our selection as one of Canada’s Top Employers in the Small & Medium Employers category.
At Cadence, we firmly believe in fostering a workplace that supports employees at work and in their personal lives. We bring our values, families, and communities with us everywhere we go, including work. Honouring the whole human experience that each employee lives is foundational to being a top employer.
Why Cadence Leadership was selected as a top employer in Canada
Some of the reasons we’ve been selected are our RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plan) contributions matching program, our bonus program, and our parental leave which ensures 100% of salary for up to six weeks. We also offer flexible time-off policies with unlimited vacation and personal days as well as an unpaid leave of absence option for up to six months in duration.
We’re proud of the inclusive workplace we’ve built through careful hiring, compensation, training, performance evaluation, and terminations. We expect every team member to create an environment where everyone feels included and can thrive in their career. We’re proud of all our employees and their contributions to their communities. Last year Cadence employees volunteered for over 900 hours and donated over $14,000.
In 2023, we initiated a Pink Tax offset initiative for full-time employees. The pink tax is a pricing practice that means products “for women” are priced higher than those marketed “for men”. This initiative aims to offset the additional expenses paid out of pocket by people who identify as women and those who menstruate. For more information on this, check out our corporate responsibility page.
Being recognized as one of Canada’s Top Employers lets us know we’re on the right track. Our business is to help other companies improve their workplace culture through effective communication and leadership. Because of this, we’ve always worked hard to walk the walk, not just talk the talk.
What is Canada’s Top Employers?
Canada’s Top Employers is an annual competition that recognizes the best places to work in Canada. The Small & Medium Employers category is evaluated by the same eight criteria as their other competitions. To be considered a “Small or Medium Enterprise” a company has to have less than 500 employees and be a for profit enterprise. All companies are evaluated on:
- Physical Workplace
- Work Atmosphere & Social
- Health, Financial & Family Benefits
- Vacation & Time Off
- Employee Communications
- Performance Management
- Training & Skills Development
- Community Involvement
We congratulate all other companies who have made the list. Small and medium companies have tremendous employment power and with over a million in Canada, standing out is an achievement.
